Sherry Quire, RN MBA BSN
Director, Organ Services
Indiana Donor Network
Sherry began her nursing career in Emergency Medicine at a Level 1 trauma center in 1996. Over the years, she gained broad experience in both rural and urban emergency departments and held house supervisor roles across multiple hospital systems. After 15 years in emergency care, Sherry transitioned to air medical services as a flight nurse with PHI Air Medical. She later advanced into leadership at Indiana University Health LifeLine, overseeing the Indianapolis critical care transport base and playing a key role in implementing complex transport capabilities, including intra-aortic balloon pump support, high-risk obstetrics, and ECMO transport.
In 2016, Sherry joined Indiana Donor Network as the Director of Clinical Services, overseeing organ and tissue recovery, transportation and supply chain teams. She now serves as the Director of Organ Services, where she has led the transformation of the organ services department—from a team of 14 organ recovery coordinators in 2016 to a robust staff of over 110, including advanced clinical coordinators, organ import and logistics coordinators, surgical recovery specialists, ambulance specialists, and their respective leadership teams. As part of that growth, Indiana Donor Network implemented a six bed donor ICU, cardiac cath lab, CT, two recovery suites, biopsy and machine perfusion labs.
Under her guidance, the team has driven the organization to achieve record-breaking organ donor and transplant milestones. For Sherry, this work is deeply personal as well as professional—her dedication to the mission of saving and healing lives through organ and tissue donation is unwavering.
